The Journal of Data Analytics and Intelligent Decision Making (JDAID) is pleased to announce the latest issue of the journal will continue to function as an international platform for scholarly research that bridges the fields of data analytics, intelligent systems, and decision sciences. The current digital transformation, combined with the availability of unprecedented volumes of data, has prompted organizations to rely on data-driven, intelligent approaches to manage the complexities of decision-making in uncertain environments. In order for organizations to meet these challenges, they will need more advanced analysis methods, but they will also need models that emphasize interpretability, robustness and practical utility. The Journal of Data Analytics and Intelligent Decision Making (JDAID) will continue to further research that links data analytics; machine learning and artificial intelligence to support evidence-based decision-making. The authors within the articles published in this special issue share current trends in research regarding predictive and prescriptive analytics; intelligent modeling; data-driven decision making; and computational decision-support systems. Collectively, the articles illustrate the potential use of analytical and intelligent methods to improve the quality of decisions; improve operational efficiency; and increase strategic insight across multiple applications. JDAID is a quarterly published journal written in English that publishes high-quality original research following a rigorous peer-reviewed process and adherence to ethical publishing processes, while promoting international scholarship collaboration.
