Mehran boasts nearly two decades of distinguished academic experience in postgraduate higher education, coupled with over a decade of impactful industrial experience. His teaching career spans prestigious institutions across the globe, including the University of Santa Clara (US), Sharif University of Technology (Iran), ETH Zurich (Switzerland), and the University of Northampton (UK). During his tenure at Sharif University of Technology, Mehran developed and founded the highly regarded Operations and Project Management pathway, which he successfully managed for over eight years. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Mehran's professional journey includes over ten years in major US corporations such as Xerox, Oracle, and Bechtel International. His industrial experience is marked by expertise in Project Management and Procurement techniques. Mehran has a proven track record in cost estimation and innovation, with a demonstrated ability to manage key performance indicators and variation indicators to ensure successful project delivery, performance improvement, and risk management. Mehran holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (US) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Association (UK). His professional stature is further highlighted by his role as a keynote speaker for the IPMA Congress and his contributions as a Lead Assessor for IPMA’s Project Excellence Award. Mehran’s blend of academic prowess and hands-on industry experience underscores his unique ability to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, making him a respected figure in both educational and professional circles.

Amir Karbassi Yazdi is an assistant professor at Universidad Catolica Del Norte,Chile. Before that, he was a Lecturer at Payam Nour University in Mahallat, Islamic Azad university Shahre-Rey Branch, Islamic Azad University Central branch of Tehran, Iran. He received his BSc in Industrial Engineering from the Islamic Azad University, North Tehran Branch, MA and PhD in Industrial Management Major Operations research from Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch, Tehran, Iran. His research interests are operations research, multi-criteria decision making, mathematical modelling, fuzzy sets, quality management, and strategy and organizational performance. He has published many papers in journals such as Applied soft computing, Management Decision, socio-economics planning sciences, soft computing, TQM Journal, transportation letter, etc.
Payam Hanafizadeh is a Professor of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at Allameh Tabataba'i University (formerly Tehran College of Commerce, est.1958), Tehran, Iran. He has held various visiting positions at the University of Waterloo, University of Canberra, Chalmers University of Tech., Masaryk University and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He received his BSc., MSc and PhD all in Industrial Engineering and pursues his research in the areas of digital business models/economy and decision sciences. Payam is currently Co-Editor of Digital Business published by Elsevier and Section Editor of Journal of Telecommunications and Digital Economy (Q2 ranked, published by Telecom Association of Australia- TelSco). He was formerly the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of E-Business Research (2015-2018). He has also published over 100 articles for leading journals such as: Internet Research, The Information Society, International Journal of Information Management, Electronic Commerce Research, Energy Policy, Electronic Markets, Telecommunications Policy, Expert Systems with Applications, Systemic Practice and Action Research, Mathematical and Computer Modelling, Management Decisions and Telematics and Informatics to name only a few. Dr. Hanafizadeh is the co-author of Online Advertising and Promotion published by IGI Global. He has (co-)authored several other successful books in Persian. He is currently among the editorial members for Telecommunication Policy (Elsevier), Social Sciences & Humanities Open (Elsevier), Journal of Information Technology Research, and International Advisory of Int. J. of Health Information Systems and Informatics. Dr. Hanafizadeh received the Research Excellence Award in Iran in 2019 designated by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. In addition to his academic position, he has also consulted for several major public and private organizations particularly banking sector.
Mohammad Taghi Taghavifard is a Professor and faculty member of Allameh Tabataba’i University (Tehran-Iran). He received his MS in Management Science from University of Tennessee (Knoxville, TN-USA) in 1989 and his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Wichita State University (Wichita, KS-USA) in 1993.
He has published numerous scientific articles in the fields of Industrial Engineering (IE) and Information Technology (IT) in several national and international refereed journals and in many conference proceedings. He is also the author of 14 books in the fields of IE and IT.
His research interests include: Applications of IT in Management, Knowledge Management, Operations Research, Business Process Management, and Business Intelligence. Also, he has carried out numerous projects in the field of Knowledge Management and Business Process Management and served as a consultant to many private organizations.
